A: If your current web hosting provider can no longer fulfill the needs of your website, or when you face continuous network downtime, or if you have to wait for hours for the client service staff to reply back to you, it may be a smart idea to swap your provider, i.e. to transfer all the files for your sites as well as your databases from your present provider to your new provider. At 2SmartHosts, we know that this can often be difficult & time–consuming. That’s why we’ll do all that for you for free!Our trained technical staff members will transfer your web site content from your present hosting provider to us. Our technicians have lots of experience with website migration and are able to take care of anything – from a regular WordPress blog or Joomla^™–based web site, to an extremely complex, custom–built application.

A: While we cannot give you a precise time frame, because there are lots of variables, among them the size of the web files and databases, the physical location of the present host’s server, the complexity of your website and the current workload of our Website Migration Department, etc., we will try our best to move your website within 48h, and in certain cases – within 24h (when the content is not very large).

A: We’ll need the login details for your current web hosting provider’s Control Panel along with the website’s name (domain name).

A: Client privacy is among our paramount responsibilities – because of this, both our payment page and our CP login page are protected with enterprise–level digital certificates. We use security measures, which include, but are not limited to: physical, digital and managerial operations to secure the details that we receive on the World Wide Web. And we have a detailed and rigorous Privacy Policy, which outlines the types of information that we collect.

A: While we migrate your site, it will be available both in your web hosting account with us and in your account with your former web hosting provider. When the transfer is done, we will ensure that everything is functioning properly and that the integrity of your content is not affected prior to telling you that the migration is completed. After that, we’ll instruct you how to move the domain name to your hosting account with us and how to update the DNS resource records.

A: While we migrate your content, your web hosting provider won’t be aware of the transfer at all. We will not contact them in any way.

A: Yup. We support all conventional Linux–powered hosting platforms. We do not support Windows–based web hosting platforms, since we do not offer Windows hosting solutions ourselves.Additionally, we do not support proprietary site building and management tools such as Wix, BaseKit, Jimdo, Website Tonight, Four Square, Mr Site, etc.
